Chris P Bacon the inspiring pig

Every now and then a story really touches your heart.

And this is definitely one of those stories. Len, a vet from Orlando Florida was presented with a baby pig who was born without the use of its back legs. The woman had bought the pig in to the clinic to be euthanised as she didn’t know what to do with it.

Len (the vet) fell in love and decided to keep the pig instead. He named him Chris P Bacon and set out to make a miniature wheel chair for him.

The prototype wasn’t the best as the back wheels had no weight to them. When handicappedpets.com donated an adjustable wheelchair to Chris, life started to look up.

Now as Chris P Bacon grows, (and trust me pigs grow very fast) the wheelchair can be adjusted to make him comfortable and to keep him mobile.

I just love the spirit of people when they chose kindness. I cant wait to see how he grows and touches the hearts of everyone around him…
